Welcome to the New Fulbright REVIEW Blog
Welcome to the new Fulbright REVIEW, the official blog of the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas!
The blog, formerly our semi-annual digital magazine, is your one-stop spot to go behind the scenes and meet some of the students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends who make up our Fulbright Family.
We hope it helps you stay connected to the college, and to all those who make up its heart and soul.
New stories will be posted at fulbrightreview.uark.edu each week, and a monthly email round up will showcase some of the most interesting features so you never miss having the inside scoop.
As you know, here at Fulbright College, you are unlikely to find a more supportive, talented, intelligent and distinctive group of people.
And in these blog posts, you’ll find stories about our people, including first-person accounts, Q&A features, in-depth articles and so much more.
My personal hope is that you leave each visit to the blog feeling empowered and inspired, as together we strive to embody the words of our namesake Senator J. William Fulbright, which have also become the college’s mission:
“…the highest function of higher education is the teaching of things in perspective, toward the purposes of enriching the life of the individual, cultivating the free and inquiring mind, and advancing the effort to bring reason, justice, and humanity into the relations of men and nations.”
There are so many exciting things happening this fall and we cannot wait to share them with you.
I hope you enjoy and have fun with the blog, and if you have a great story idea or know someone you’d like for us to feature, please email us at fulbcomm@uark.edu or submit your own post.
Sincerely,
Todd Shields, Dean of the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences
