Welcome to the January 2019 Round Up of the Fulbright REVIEW Blog
Happy 2019, Fulbright Family! It’s a new year and so many exciting research projects, initiatives, events and more will be happening here at the U of A’s J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences in the months to come.
We’ll be sure to share all of the details with you right here, in the Fulbright REVIEW!
There’s already so much happening – for example, the namesakes of the Jim and Joyce Faulkner Performing Arts Center were just named 2019 Governor’s Arts Awards recipients!
And did you know that the college’s David and Barbara Pryor Center for Arkansas Oral and Visual History has a new executive director?
Additionally, be sure to travel along with music’s Wind Ensemble, as they complete a three-state performance tour to commemorate the Civil Rights Movement in Arkansas and the Mid-South.
Don’t forget to spend some time getting to know this Dean’s Office staffer, who is passionate about learning everything from Islamic architecture to cosmic consciousness, and also loves helping faculty and staff succeed!
And did you know that one of our physics faculty members created a patent-pending device that could lead to a limitless energy source? Meet the man behind the science.
Then see how well psychology and statistics can blend with music, as this impressive triple-major combines his love of all three to study how music affects the brain and human psychology!
And meet an alumna who never thought she’d be running her own successful business, but that’s exactly how she’s put her Ph.D. to work!
As always, remember that more new stories are posted at fulbrightreview.uark.edu continuously, and our monthly email round ups will keep showcasing the most interesting features so you never miss the inside scoop.
