Welcome to the December 2018 Round Up of the Fulbright REVIEW Blog
Happy holidays! As another year comes to a close, I want to thank you and the entire Fulbright Family for making it another rewarding, successful year filled with so many great things.
Sure, there are always challenges and we all have our ups and downs. But – because of you – we have so very much to be grateful for, not the least of which is being able to connect through the Fulbright REVIEW!
Here at the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas, we have so many exciting initiatives, projects and stories to share.
For example, did you know that our journalism students recently produced three incredible documentary films exploring homelessness in Northwest Arkansas? Learn more and watch the films here.
And have you heard about how one of our faculty members teaches compassion through cultural experiences? Or about all of the ways we help students prepare for their future careers?
Our college is also at the forefront of network technology innovation, and one of our research labs has made amazing breakthroughs in cancer treatment! Meet the man behind the research.
And if you haven’t already, then plan to meet both the leader of our college’s Honors Program, who is passionate about fieldwork and helping students succeed, and the amazing advocate who leads our college’s technology team.
Then, be sure to check out this great story about a triple major who knows how to balance classwork with time spent studying abroad!
And, as always, remember that more new stories are posted at fulbrightreview.uark.edu continuously, and our monthly email round ups will keep showcasing the most interesting features so you never miss the inside scoop.
We hope you’ll stay tuned, and continue to enjoy the blog. And, if you have a great story idea or know someone you’d like for us to feature, please email us at fulbcomm@uark.edu or submit your own post.
Sincerely,
Todd Shields, Dean of the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences
