In his own words:
Thank you so much for this opportunity that you have granted me with this award. It means so much to me and my family to know that I am being supported by others in this department and I cannot thank you all enough.
My name is Jason Collins and I am a theater and music major at the University of Arkansas. I will be a sophomore in the upcoming academic year and I have really enjoyed my time here at the U of A.
I am an eager learner and a hard worker. I believe everything I set my hands to do is blessed and I treat everything that way. I am very grateful for this award.
Last semester I had some trouble with money and paying my tuition. While I was in the production of Heathers last year, It was not easy to obtain a job and was very difficult to pay off my tuition.
This scholarship has made this semester coming up so much more achievable and I am very appreciative of it.
Once again I am very grateful and I appreciate the decision you made. I will make sure this is a good investment into my future and will not let you down.
God bless you and your impact on my future. Thank you.
