In her own words:
Dear Dr. David R. and Mrs. Marsha L. Crittenden,
I would like to thank you for your support with the David R. and Marsha L. Crittenden Endowed Scholarship. University of Arkansas academic counselor, Mr. Carl Riley, has informed me that I am the 2023 recipient for this scholarship.
I would like to express how grateful I am for your support and contribution to my education. I am a 2021 graduate from Jonesboro High School, in northeast Arkansas. I am currently a junior studying psychology, on the track of clinical counseling.
I would like to one day open my own business where everyone is able to have affordable and high-quality mental health care.
This year I am in a position where the previous scholarships that I have received were not enough to cover all of my books, so this scholarship will help me be able to purchase the rest of those, as well as help me with expenses at my apartment for a couple of months each semester.
So again, I would like to thank you for your recognition, support, and contribution to my education this year. I am very grateful and appreciate the opportunities that you have given to me!
Sincerely,
Keyvashia Brown
