In her own words:
Dear Mr. Dixon Cooper and Mrs. Juanita J. Cooper,
I would first like to thank the School of Journalism and Strategic Media for allowing me to accept such an honorable and prestigious scholarship.
I would also like to thank my donors, Mr. Dixon Cooper and Mrs. Juanita J. Cooper, for being a part of giving young adults like me a chance to become what they always wanted to be. I will not take your act of benevolence lightly as I strongly express my deepest gratitude towards you.
I graduated with honors from North Little Rock High School. I will be a sophomore next year and I am currently majoring in journalism. Some of my goals that you have helped make possible are building a diverse portfolio and continuing to develop my writing skills. I’d like to eventually work in the field as a reporter.
Academically, this scholarship will allow me to invest in essential resources like textbooks, study materials, and technology, enhancing my learning experience and academic performance. Financially, this scholarship will alleviate some of the burden of tuition fees and other educational expenses, enabling me to focus more on my studies without the constant worry of financial constraints.
I am just a freshman; however, I have extensive dreams and ambitions of seeing my aspirations come to light. Your support will make a significant impact on my academic journey and personal growth. I am grateful for this opportunity and look forward to making the most of it. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Aria Reed
