Giving Thanks: Scholarship Helps Doctoral Student Reach Goal of Becoming a Mathematics Professor

Meet Patrick Phelps, who thanks to the Lawrence Jesser Toll Jr. Endowed Scholarship, is one step closer to his dream of being a researcher and securing a professorship at a great university.

Activities/Interests: Math Research, President of Math Graduate Student Colloquium, Co-organizer of the Analysis Seminar, avid cook, enjoy watching moving and spending time at home with my cat.
Career Aspirations: I am currently applying for post-doctoral opportunities to continue my research career, and hopefully one day secure a professorship at a great university.
