In her own words:

I would like to thank you for your generous contribution by offering me the David R. and Marsha L. Crittenden Endowed Scholarship awarded by the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences.

Your support in my academic career has been greatly appreciated by my family and me. I will be going into my third year this fall semester and I am extremely excited to continue my education and getting involved on campus.

This opportunity will help lift the financial cost of my education off of my parent’s shoulders. It will also allow me to focus on my studies and excel in the classroom.

I am currently majoring in biology and minoring in business with a pre-veterinarian focus. This fall I will be going into my junior year at the U of A. I chose to go to the University of Arkansas because I believed that it would be the perfect place to pursue my undergraduate career.

It truly has been an amazing place that has exposed me to unfamiliar places and people that have contributed to my growth as a person.

I can’t wait to continue to step out of my comfort zone inside and outside of the classroom.

I continue to improve each year with my study habits and classroom work ethic. Getting more into my major’s classes has been amazing and has actually improved my work ethic and procrastination.

With the challenges that are yet to come this year, I am sure I will be ready. Thank you again for believing and supporting me in my academic career.

Sincerely,

Chantae Jacobs
