‘A Family Like Ours:’ Meet the 2023 University of Arkansas Family of the Year

The Southern Uribe-Evans family of Fayetteville was named the 2023 University of Arkansas Family of the Year during Family Weekend on Sept. 9, 2023.

“The Associated Student Government (ASG) is thrilled to present the Southern Uribe-Evans Family as the 26th Razorback Family of the Year,” said Hailey Hoog, ASG vice president. “The Southern Uribe-Evans Family represents the Razorback spirit. Their loyalty to the University of Arkansas is inspiring and truly represents a model Razorback family. They are beyond deserving of this honor and award.”

Fulbright College is proud that the Southern Uribe-Evans family is also part of the Fulbright College family! In this interview with Amelia, Talvin, Lia, and Lisa, learn about how their family embodies art, community, and connection in all they do.

The Associated Student Government and New Student and Family Programs sponsor the annual Razorback Family of the Year. The Family of the Year represents the university as a model Razorback family. The model Razorback family exemplifies the Arkansas spirit and provides exceptional support for their students to succeed at the university.
