U of A and the NWA Community Celebrate Pride Month 2024
Groups across Northwest Arkansas, including the University of Arkansas, are hosting and participating in events all June long to celebrate Pride Month, which highlights LGBTQIA+ voices, experiences, and issues.
The 2024 festivities include Northwest Arkansas’ 20th Annual Pride Parade on June 29, as well as the Trans March, Pride Festival, Glitterville Party, and more. Get all the details, pictures, and event recaps on the Pride Northwest Arkansas website.
The U of A also offers continuous Safe Zone Allies training sessions, as well as mentoring opportunities through the Multicultural Center, and opportunities to connect through LGBTQ+ organizations such as the PRIDE Alumni Society.
Additionally, social media accounts including the Fulbright College’s Inclusive Excellence Facebook page, and the University of Arkansas PRIDE Alumni Society page are featuring more Pride Month related events, information, and highlights.
And, in celebration of Pride Month, the University Libraries has also compiled a list of resources available to all students and U of A community members.
More resources, both locally and nationally, are also available through the Hogs for Mental Health CAPS Resource page.
