In his own words:
Dear Dr. Manger,
I was happy to learn that I was a recipient of the Walter L. Manger Endowed Scholarship, awarded by the Department of Geosciences in the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences. I am writing to thank you for your generous financial support toward my higher education.
I am an MSc graduate in Geology from the Central Department of Geology, Tribhuvan University, Nepal. Currently, I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Geosciences at the University of Arkansas. My interest is to work as an academic in the field of Geophysics; therefore, I will do a postdoc when I complete my Ph.D.
I always wanted to buy a subscription to the Geosoft program for geophysical modeling, but I was unable to buy it due to financial problems. However, because of this scholarship award, I will be able to buy a subscription to the Geosoft program and attend workshops conducted by the Geosoft developers.
Thanks again for supporting many students like me and for helping me in my Ph.D. research work. I also want to thank Fulbright College for providing me with a quality education. I really appreciate the opportunities both you and Fulbright College have provided to me.
Best regards,
Govind Joshi
